Questions about overlays
Are TikPlay overlays free?
The Game Interactions overlay is free for everyone. All other overlays and the scene link need TikPlay Super or a Day Pass. Building and testing works with a free account.
Do the overlays work in TikTok LIVE Studio?
Yes. Every overlay is a link that you add as a browser source, in TikTok LIVE Studio just like in OBS Studio or Streamlabs.
Do I need a plugin or a download?
No. The overlays run in the browser source of your streaming app. Nothing to install.
Do changes show up live?
Yes. Your settings save automatically and the overlay updates on stream. Pop-ups pick up new settings after you refresh the browser source.
Can I use overlays when I stream from my phone?
Overlays need a streaming app on a PC that supports browser sources, such as OBS Studio or TikTok LIVE Studio. In the TikPlay app for Android, the game shows its interactions on screen by itself.
