How to set up your first stream

This guide shows you how to get your very first stream up and running on TikPlay - quick and simple.

1. Check your TikTok ID

Make sure your TikTok ID is set correctly in your profile under "Account". See the full TikTok ID guide

2. Add your overlay

Copy your overlay link and add it as a browser/link source in your streaming software (OBS or TikTok Live Studio). See the full overlay guide

3. Add the TikPlay browser

Bring the TikPlay browser into your streaming software (TikTok Live Studio or OBS) so your viewers can see the game. You can use Display Capture, Window Capture, or add it as a Link source - pick whatever works best for you.

4. Choose your game and set up the config

Pick the game you want to play and open its config. Here you decide what your viewers send or do to trigger the interactions in the game.

5. Go live and connect

Go live on TikTok first. You have to be live before you can connect. Once your live is running, go back to TikPlay and click "Connect". If you're not live yet, it won't work.

6. Test it live

Set an interaction on "Like", then test it yourself in your stream - send a like and watch it trigger live in the game.

That's it - your first stream is up and running. Have fun!
